Hi there!
I’m so stoked you’ve chosen to work with me for your website design. I think we’re going to create something really remarkable together.

I know you’ve already taken a look at and signed the contract, but I wanted to outline a few key things for you. Please read this page carefully as it includes important information.

Please bookmark this page for future reference too!

And remember that I am here for you! If you need anything, please contact me via one of my preferred contact methods outlined below.

I can’t wait to see what we do together!

Speak soon,

Laura

Let's Get Started

I’m so excited to get started on your new website. First up, I’ll need a little bit of homework from you.

Please complete my brand survey as soon as you can, and at least 24 hours before our 1:1 consultation strategy session (you can book this below). Find the survey here >
Complete the Brand Survey
You should receive an email soon with our shared Google Drive where you can upload any documents you think I might need to get to know you better and complete your website for you.

Please make sure files are clearly named so we can easily refer each other to the right one. Photos named DSC_0983 etc are totally fine – as long as it’s easy for me to search for the photo you want to use in a particular place. Where we run into trouble is when there's 5 photos named "banner" etc.

Please do not share documents with me any other way without first checking with me, especially via paid services like Dropbox. This helps me keep track of where everything is for each client (which is a huge brain-saver during busy months!).
Documents you may wish to share with me could include (* indicates essential):
  • Logos* – main and alternates, including white versions and versions on a transparent background (if you have .eps or .ai files, that is so helpful!)
  • Brand colour palettes* including hex and RGB codes
  • Brand guidelines
  • Brand mood boards (can also share any pinboards with me on Pinterest)
  • Other brand elements such as patterns and illustrations
  • Marketing plans, company profiles and other strategy documents
  • Stock imagery and icons you already own
  • Professional photography
  • Existing website copy*
  • Affiliation and accreditation logos
  • “As seen on” logos

Book a Meeting

Your contract includes a 1:1 consultation call which will kick off the start of our work together. Make sure you complete the brand survey linked above at least 24 hours before this meeting.

When you’re ready, book that call here >

Your contract also includes 2 x 45-minute calls which you can book at any time throughout our work together for anything you want to discuss in depth. Book those calls here >

I am flexible with time differences! If you can’t find a meeting time that suits you in your time zone, please just let me know and I’ll make adjustments.

If you find Zoom meetings uncomfortable or difficult due to social anxiety, or chaotic living situations (or whatever!), please let me know. I will work with you to find an alternative that helps you feel comfortable and safe.

Let me know as soon as you can if you are unable to attend a scheduled meeting. I am always happy to work with you to find an appropriate alternative time, but I can only do that if you keep me informed!

Please note that you may be invoiced for any extra meetings you book via this link outside of what is outlined above. I will let you know before the meeting if this is the case.

Office Hours

My office hours are as follows:

  • Monday – 9am to 9pm AEST

However you choose to contact me, I endeavour to respond within 48 hours, not including weekends or holidays.

Or WhatsApp text and voice message. Please note I won’t answer unscheduled video or voice calls! You can add me on WhatsApp by scanning this QR code:

For my own work/life balance, I can’t discuss work matters with clients via Instagram DM or Facebook messenger, though I’m happy to have a friendly chat with you there about anything else! If you don’t already follow me, I’m @laurafcreates!

Invoices and Payment Plans

You will have chosen a payment plan that suits your needs when you bought your website design package.

An invoice will be sent to you 7 days before it's due date for payment. Reminders will be sent at 7 days and 10 days.

I will then get in touch with you to see how I can support you to complete your payments, whether that means adjusting your payment plan or delaying due dates. Note that significant delays in payment may result in work ceasing on your account until payment is received.

I want you to know I’m here for you, and as long as you let me know how I can help you, I’m happy to work with you to make sure this process is smooth and stress-free.

You can review your payment plan or change your preferred payment method at any time using the links in the invoice or receipt emails you’ve received from Stripe.
