Rainbow Space Unicorn is basically a dealer shop for grown-ups chasing the high of a scholastic book fair. And with that brief, and the sparkly pastelly-goodness created by the incredible Kit Cronk, I knew this Shopify store was going to be something remarkable.
Kit designs products for fandoms, neurodivergent adults and those looking to sprinkle a little bit more magic in their life. With the success of her Kickstarter campaign for her flagship product Bookish Bags, Kit knew it was time to bring her store to life, and stop relying on Etsy to sell her products.
As this is a new Shopify store, I wanted to take full advantage of everything Shopify 2.0 has to offer.
This meant completely custom template designs for all pages, including an inbuilt custom form for Wholesale enquiries. Within the Shopify theme customiser, Kit's theme needed to be user-friendly and growth-focused so she knew her website was easy to manage and update as her business grew. This meant adding lots of custom-coded features to each section, giving her full control over things like capitalising headings with the click of a button, the height and width of boxes, and whether the star icon appeared in the header banners (and even what brand colour the star was!)
